Bit of an exercise in drawing a racing car using mostly the advertising logos in its paint scheme. Steve Soper drove this car in the one-off 1987 World Touring Car Championship. This is arguably the best touring car livery of the 1980s.
I used to work in a Fina garage during the Cosworth era of touring cars, and a pair of the racing cars visited as part of a marketing tour. So I’ve sat in a racing RS500 Cosworth! Never driven one though.
The noise of the car in the image is a tribute to the French Michel Vaillant comic strips – where cars make very French noises.
